Trauma support

About our PTSD clinic

In partnership with the Palestine Trauma Centre, Muntada Aid runs a post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) centre for children and young adults in Gaza. PTC UK provides support and training on the ground, both in person and via technology.

The clinic works directly with children, young adults and families affected by the trauma of war — helping them rebuild their psycho-social resilience and recover from complex trauma.

Our projects

How the clinic helps

The clinic runs three core projects, working with families and communities to move people from helplessness towards recovery and empowerment.

  • Family Therapy

Our core project in Gaza, working directly with families to build and maintain their psycho-social resilience and overcome complex traumas.

  • Focusing

In association with Birmingham University & The Focusing Institute, teaching individuals and groups self-help techniques that move people from helplessness towards empowerment.

  • Days of Joy

Physical activity, street theatre and games engage community wellness — helping children and families re-awaken their resilience in the face of trauma and depression.
