Hijrah Ride: A Journey Like No Other
Hijrah Ride, also known as Hijrah Ride 1447, is a partnership between Muntada Aid and H&KCC — the world’s first Hijrah Ride.
This annual cycling event spans three days, with riders from across the UK cycling approximately 550 kilometres between Mecca and Madinah, Islam’s two holiest mosques. The journey commemorates the Prophet Muhammad’s migration from persecution in Mecca to safety in Madinah, and supports children facing heart conditions, warfare, and poverty.
Across five editions, the ride has raised over £960,000 for children’s healthcare initiatives and emergency assistance for those fleeing conflict — helping children regardless of gender, religion, culture and country.
