The crisis
Food insecurity in Yemen
Yemen imports 90% of the food, but the ongoing conflict has disrupted the supply chains and that is causing serious situation in the country.
The country need almost $3 billion worth of humanitarian assistance, but so far it has only managed half of it. With the coronavirus pandemic, the situation is only getting worse. The Yemeni people will need all the support we can offer.
Our response
What is Muntada Aid doing?
Muntada Aid has worked in Yemen since 2020, providing food assistance to 150 families — over 1,000 people — at the Taiz Refugee Camp, most of them displaced from the port city of Hodeidah.
Since June 2020 we have delivered over 2 million meals at the camp. Our Yemen food programme is 100% dependent on your donations.
