Sudan Crisis
The devastating civil war has left millions of people in Sudan struggling without the basics needed to survive. With up to 150,000 people killed, the women and children are the worst affected in the ongoing conflict.

Our response
How is Muntada Aid helping people in Sudan
Muntada Aid has a long history of working in Sudan for almost three decades, providing education and emergency support. Since 2023, we have supported over half a million people affected by the ongoing war.
Since 2025, we have served over 1.68 million cooked meals in Khartoum and Port Sudan.
We have provided 2,700 family food packs in Khartoum.
Women's hygiene packs and clothing are distributed to hundreds of women and children.

Village for the displaced
A village for 300 families
Almost nine million people remain internally displaced in Sudan, and hundreds of thousands lack access to basic emergency accommodation. In 2025 Muntada Aid is building a shelter village for 300 families where they can live in safety and dignity.
With access to water and sanitation facilities.
Delivered to every family at the camp.
Schools and clinics on site.

Sanitation
Building toilets and washrooms at IDP camps
Lack of toilets and washrooms is one of the biggest challenges for people living in IDP camps across Sudan. In some camps there are only two toilets for a thousand people — one of the main causes of disease spreading among people, especially children. In 2026 Muntada Aid is building toilet and washroom infrastructure in two such camps, with at least 30–35 toilets and the same number of washrooms. Water will be provided through solar-powered wells, and the facilities will be connected to a waste-management system.
