Gift of Sight Mali-This is How We Do It
Mali is among the world’s poorest countries in the Sahel region of West Africa.
One hundred seventy thousand people in Mali are thought to be blind.
There are only two ophthalmologists for every one million people.
Muntada Aid has a long history of working in the Sahel region.
In the last 3 years, we have carried out over 4000 eye operations in the region.
On our latest deployment to Mali, Imran Asif explains the state of health infrastructure and how we deliver Gift of Sight missions in Mali.
